We are learning about change in matter and using the scientific method during our experiments. This means asking questions (wonder) forming hypothesis, doing experiments, observing, collating results, forming a conclusion and forming more questions. On Friday we looked at Hokey Pokey, what it started as, finished as, and observing the change over the course of the experiment.

Coding
Last Friday afternoon Room 22 was privileged to have Kathryn Cochet in the class teaching us about coding, what it is and how to do it. The children had 3 activities to run through, from computer work, programming beebots to go through mazes and learning how to write code
Learning how farmers are trying to help keep our Lakes Clean
Last week we had the privilege of having one of our parents (Brendon Conwell) come in and talk to us about how farmers are trying to save our lakes from pollution. It included how pollution gets into the water and new ways of maintaining their farmland to be more friendly to the environment. It was a great afternoon with good learning happening that tied really well into our water inquiry topic
